Brewing Instructions
Brewing Loose Cascara
Brewing Equipment: French Press, teapot, tea ball infuser, or an Aeropress
Brewing Ratios: 1 tablespoon (5 grams) : 6 ounces (170 ml) of water
Hot Brew Temperature & Time: Water temp between 195F - 205F and 4-5 minutes
Cold Brew Temperature & Time: Place vessel in refrigerator (36F-41F) and allow brewing to occur between 12-16 hours
Brewing Ground Cascara
Brewing Equipment Requires Filter: Hario V60, Chemex, Melitta Drip, Aeropress, or traditional coffee brewer. Ground cascara is not suitable for unfiltered brewing and extraction
Brewing Ratios: 2 teaspoons (5 grams) : 6 ounces (170 ml) of water
Hot Brew Temperature & Time: Water temp between 195F - 205F and 2-3 minutes per serving
Cold Brew Temperature & Time: For cold brewing, loose cascara is preferred
